Anastasia Michailidou

Anastasia Michailidou was born in Bamberg, Germany on January 17, 1978. She graduated from the Department of Geology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2002. Through a curriculum courses gained a comprehensive background in basic and applied geology. Proceed with studies towards a M.Sc. Degree in Structural Geology - Stratigraphy at the same university. During her studies, has dealt with neotectonics, active tectonics, tectonic geomorphology and archaeoseismology. In April 2007 was accepted as a PhD candidate at the Laboratory of Tectonic Geology - Stratigraphy Department of Geology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her research focuses on active tectonics, tectonic geomorphology and archaeoseismology, specializing in GIS applications ofand mapping.
Since 2006 she works as a freelance professional geologist and has performed numerous hydrogeological and environmental studies and studies of geological suitability.
